“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” So said Mark Twain. And these have become the words I live by.

I have been lucky enough to travel the world and yet have so much more to explore. My first international trip was when I was 5 and I haven’t stopped since. My simple goal is to visit more countries than I am years old – so far I am ahead. At this time I have visited 34 countries on 5 continents, and I am particularly passionate about Latin America.

My truly outrageous dream is to visit every country.I don’t just travel for the fun of it, I simply feel I need to travel for me to be me. I travel independently not only to explore but to work, study, and most recently volunteer with children.

I have lived in three countries, and am totally fluent in four languages – English, French, Spanish and Russian – which means that I can speak with at least two and a half  billion people on Earth, and I don’t plan to stop there… So when I am asked “where do I consider to be my home?’, I usually answer “I am a global citizen”.

I have been called a jet setter, the girl who is never there, travelling friend and a globe trotter. The truth is I love people. I have always been fascinated by different cultures, their languages,  customs and society.

Apart from travelling I love photography, both sides of it – I enjoy being in front and behind the camera. I also have a keen interest in fashion and style, and have a weakness for everything I consider to be beautiful and unique. That sometimes makes me a shopaholic. But hey, why not? We only live once so why not enjoy life whilst there is an opportunity.

Countries I visited

visited 39 states (17.3%)

In this blog, I invite everyone who shares the same interests to escape with me into this fascinating world.
